Aria and Amara saw Aslan dropping off meerkats. Aria had been confused, but Amara knew what he was doing. "He's bringing food for the cubs. He did that a few times while everyone was relaxing. Went for small prey so the cubs could eat" she said with a smile.

Khaleesi nodded approvingly, "Reyla and Shani can you sneak up on his blind side. The rest of us will herd him to you, and make sure he doesn't get away." This reminded her of one of Karaz's quotes. Only the fittest survive. At least the antelope was old and she didn't feel like she was cutting it down savagely. She sometimes felt bad hunting babies. "Okay, let's get into position."

Shani again slipped silently into the grass, using it to camouflage her movements. She got into position and crouched, her eyes locked on to the target. She slowed her breathing....one....two...

Reyla nodded to Khaleesi before she made her way around. She kept herself lower than normal due to her odd coat sticking out more. She gave a low growl, too low for the prey to hear as she waited to be able to take the kill. / Tara looked a little skeptical, but she followed Khaleesi. She wasnt too close, but still followed. She looked rather unamused as she twitched her ear, but she kept crouched, her heart racing in fear, but trying to not show it.

Astrid smiled, "I'll stay here then, since they've already left." She wondered if Amber would let her groom her. She was huddled by her father, so she took that as a no. While Chaos might be caring with his children, he didn't take care of them like a lioness did. All he did was keep them physically safe, and fed. Khaleesi saw that everyone was in position. 'Come on Tara, let's scare him toward them." She rose out of the grass where she had been hidden and began to head toward the older antelope. Many of them scattered, and some were indecisive. Suddenly, he spurted toward Shani and Reyla.

Shani calculated the distance and leapt out of the grass. She hoped Reyla was right behind her to hold the antelope down while Shani made the kill. Shani grabbed the antelope's neck with her powerful jaws and dragged him down. Struggling to get a better grip, Shani felt the antelope's hoof strike her head. Her ears ringing, she desperately clung to the antelope.

Tara growled and hissed at a few of the antelope since she didnt exactly have a roar just yet. She watched as she saw Reyla leap up onto the antelope's back, causing it to sway and have issues staying up. She stopped suddenly as she crouched down and closed her eyes.

Shani panicked, scrambling to get a grip on the antelope's neck. She finally succeeded and locked her jaws, cutting off the air circulation of the antelope's windpipe. Shani held on until she felt the antelope go limp and lifeless. She sat down panting and blinked rapidly, trying to clear her blurry vision. Her head felt sticky and she realized that what she had thought to be the antelope's blood was her own.

(aw crud, was Ivy supposed to hunt? Drat) / Ivy / Ivy all the time was stalking around the antelopes, ready to cut off their escape route. As the antelope ran the opposite direction, she ran after it. She saw Tara closing her eyes and felt pity towards the juvenile as she triggered a memory in her head. A memory of her hunting zebras for the first time. Ivy smiled a little bit. "Well done Shani", Ivy complimented the lioness warmly, "You have showed yourself skillful!"

"Well done? Well done! Look at my face," she said showing Ivy the bleeding gash," and where was my back up? No where to be found!" Shani growled in Reyla's face.
