Shani was confused. Aslan seemed to have amore complex character than she had initially thought he had. That didn't make him any less attractive though. She smiled and went into some grass, crouching and disappearing. She slunk toward a small herd of impala. Making sure she was down wind of them she chose her target, a small fawn only a day or two old was wandering on the outskirts of the herd. Slowly moving in, Shani soon was close enough to the fawn. Shani leaped from her hiding place and landed squarely on the fawn's back. The impala scattered and ran leaving Shani in a cloud of dust. Picking up the fawn in her jaws, she trotted exuberantly back to Aslan and laid the fawn at is paws. "Want to do the next one together?" Shani grinned.

Aslan shook his head. "I shouldn't be going after larger prey yet. I'm trying to just get food for the cubs" he said. "I plan to make sure the Cubs eat. I'm sure whoever is in charge right now will be alright with that." He didn't know who was planning on hunting, or if they were planning on is today.

"Okay, well, how much more do we need? I know of a great place to get some mice." Shani was kind of dissapointed in his disinterest. She didn't want to annoy him.

Aslan sighed. "I saw I think five cubs. Mice might be too small for them. Luna I think is the youngest. She was the smallest I saw. Maybe the new one with the large dark coated male, but even mice might not be enough unless we caught more than what we can carry at once."

"So what should we hunt? Whatever you want to do Aslan, I will follow your lead. I have never hunted prey for cubs before. Maybe a couple more meerkats?"

Aslan looked rather confused at Shani. *Why is she so interested in following me* he thought. "A few more meerkats might work, if we get lucky. This one was too busy looking for food to notice me. If there is a group of them, it will be harder" he replied. "There will be one watching normally. I assume this one was on its own and that's why it was so easy to kill it."

"I know of a trick to get them out of their burrows, follow me!" Shani trotted back to the spring near the cave and scooped up a mouthful of water.

Aslan looked rather confused. "What are you doing?" He watched her before he saw her grab the water. Now he was even more confused. Glancing around, he wondered if others were doing anything.

Khaleesi went over to nudge Ukuta, "You have two options. Come with us lionesses hunting or stay here and watch Delilah." She called for Reyla, Ivy, and Tara. She wasn't sure which ones they were, but she repeated their names. "We're going hunting. Since I have lived here before the dominants put me in charge," she told them. None of the rest of them had, so she felt that there would be no reason for arguing. She led them out of the den. Astrid looked at Amara, "Should I go with them or help look after the cubs?" There were a lot of cubs, and with those lionesses gone, it would be a lot more empty.

Shani looked at him witha twinkle in her eyes and gestured with her tail for him to follow her. She trotted across the plains looking for the unmistakable meerkat holes. She finally found a burrow and looked back to see if Aslan had followed.
