Shadow Eagle Shadow watched the girl before hearing Atticus. Blinking, he looked back at Swift when she appeared. "I am fine now. The girl. .pulled out the thorn in my paw. Might have a slight limp for a couple days though." He said to her before looking back at the human girl. He blinked lowering his head before standing up slowly. "I probably shouldn't have gone after Lupus and Fenrir that time." He muttered mostly to himself as he struggled to stay upright. He limped forward towards the forest before looking back at Atticus, "Good luck with that one alpha. She is a curious little thing." With that, he started limping into the bushes.

Atticus looked at shadow questioningly when he heard shadow mumble something about chasing Lupus and fenrir. He said nothing but gave a quick nod to the two as they left. He then turned back to the girl again studying her inquisitly.

Brooklyn I Human I Female I M: Atticus, Shadow Eagle (ind.), Swift (ind.) Bye, wolf. Hope your paw heals quickly, Brooke thought absently, listening to this guy- Atticus "apparently"- speak. She copied his expression and studied him as well, eyes trying to spot his motive. "Men can be territorial too and if I paid any attention to what they think is right, history wouldn't have progressed and I'd be a child bride." I actually have a good comeback for once,..huh. "I'm Brookly- Brooke, spelled with an e for some odd reason my parents have, been here since birth practically. I think I saw you with some friends earlier, they seemed nice. A lot like y-" Brooke paused, wincing. She was blabbering like a toddler! She couldn't give away the fact she had been glancing at him earlier, he'd think she was a creep. Then again.. following someone far into the woods was a bit strange. "So why did you follow me? Are you an ogre or something..should I have brought seasoning with me in case someone decided I was fitting for a meal? You have to admit, turning to see a random guy in the woods is cause for suspicion. Those wolves interacting with you was weird enough." She realized she sounded like a cop would to a suspect and stopped, shaking her head. "Sorry, shouldn't have skipped out on sleep yesterday to watch the stars. Makes everything seem weird. I should get back, I stole a poor boy's phone to follow that wolf...it needs to be returned." Brooke held the phone in her hand, sighing. "So..are you just going to hold a staring contest or what?"

Atticus smiled at the girl and shook his head. "I'm not an ogre I'm a-" He stopped himself before he could reveal his secret. I saw the wolf and wanted to make sure he was ok. Besides its notevery day you see someone as interested in wolves as I am." He said. He smirked again "Besides as long as your not afraid you can pretty much interact with wolves as if they are human or giant puppies." He gave a nod. "Yeah that boy might want his phone back. And I wasn't staring I was studying. I do it a lot actually." He then turned and started to walk back towards the school. "Nice to meet you Brooke" He said turning back to wink before jogging off.

Brooklyn I Human I Female I M: Atticus, NPC I'm not an ogre I'm a- What had he been about to say? Or was it a joke? Like "I'm not an ogre, I'm a bird" and then jokingly peck at the ground like a sparrow looking for worms.. yes that must have been it, Brooke figured with a satisfied nod. She watched his expressions change to fit accordingly with his actions and words, in a confident manner. But one question still remained. Why had he been studying her, if that was his given excuse. Brooklyn frowned and then shrugged. What did she know? He could be a humanitarian or some sort of researcher..or maybe he didn't get along with people much. She didn't know his story and could not make any judgment calls, as that was unfair to whomever this guy truly was. She waved when he started to jog away from her, waving. "I'll figure you out soon Atticus," she muttered with a playful smile, for some reason blushing when he winked. By all the seasons, don't act like some silly school girl. Goodness knows how many girls are already staking him out, trying to catch him like he's a delicious fish they want to net. "Nice to meet you too, Atti." She waited a moment before heading over to the bleachers, where her acquaintance was waiting. "Hey, did you see my- Oh!" The guy smiled when Brooke pulled out his phone, taking it gratefully. "It must have fallen out of my pockets or something...always losing things. My sister says I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached to me. Thank you for finding it." He told her the time and they continued to talk, mostly Oliver, the guy's name, leading the topics. Brooke was mostly preoccupied with the strange encounters she had just a few minutes ago. Only when he got up did she start. "Sorry, not the best conversationalist." Brooke said with a laugh. She said a quick goodbye before she could embarass herself further and left, heading inside to find her locker.

Lily Lily ate the rest of her lunch before getting up. Putting her tray in the dirty tray section, she gathered her stuff and headed to her own locker. After stuffing her stuff into her locker, she got ready for her next class. Spotting Brooke, she hurried over before saying, "Sorry for the cover up. It was the only thing I could think of that wouldn't get you two in trouble. Are you okay?" She hoped it didn't affect their friendship, especially since Brooke was one of her best friends. Lily watched Brooke, waiting for her answer in a subtle scared way.

Brooklyn I Human I Female I M: Lily "It wasn't my most favorite excuse," Brooke said in a mild tone, watching students pass by them with an indifferent look. "But I'm fine. Had some weird encounters during lunch, so I guess that makes up for the minor embarrassment in class. Who were you with for it? I didn't see you around, so I figured I would sit outside and enjoy the nice weather." Her lips pursed slightly at the half-lie; she hated fibbing, even when it was beneficial to keep friendships. Truth was she hadn't really looked around, she wanted to be by herself..with nobody that knew her. Clenching and unclenching her hands into fists, she went to get her books from her locker while waiting for Lily to speak again, trying to focus on keeping her breathing calm.

Lily didn't notice her fists as she said, "Adrastos came in half-way through being his crazy self, so I just ignored half of what he was saying." She rolled her eyes before asking, "What weird encounters did you have? They must be better than what I found."
