Swift Swift groaned "I don't know but we all know this isn't going to go well sorry Atticus" With that she shrank down in the long green grass, transformed and ran after the girl snd Shadow Eagle. I have to make a distraction but also I want to see what Shadow Eagle is doing. So she kept running after the girl snd Shadow Eagle. Edited at April 17, 2021 03:17 AM by Deadlywolf

(@Soul Eater, we are just going to go from here^^) Shadow Eagle Shadow panted slightly, finally coming to the small pond. He sat down next to it hearing the girl still behind him. Teens are so curious these days. He thought flicking his ears before walking a little bit into the water, letting it numb his sore paw. Taking his paw up to examine it, he noticed that he hadn't gotten the whole thorn. He growled slightly before licking the paw, digging his teeth into it before stopping. The little part of the thorn wasn't coming out, he would need tweezers as soon as he lost the girl. In the meantime, he let his paw soak in the water as he layed on the shore, his ears flicking back and forth trying to listen for the teen.

(Things are getting intense :o And alright ^^) Brooklyn I Human I Female I M: Shadow Eagle Smiling as she spotted some swimming fish splashing about merrily in the river, Brooklyn ensured to keep a bit of space between her and the wolf. He seemed oblivious to her food-wise, acknowledging her presence but doing nothing about it. She noted the brief image of the thorn being snapped at by the wolf's sharp teeth and felt her heart fill with sympathy. "If you promise not to bite me, I can pull it out," she said softly, remembering that canines could understand tones better than words. She went around, approaching the wolf at a diagonal angle so he could see her, stopping when she reached the edge of the water. "I've had to pull thorns and prickles from my hair and skin too, it sucks to have such pesky things, doesn't it?" She put a hand in the pond, enjoying the cool sensation. "So what do you say? Care to trust me enough?" Brooke waited, moving her fingers slowly through the aqua shallows, dirt brushing against the tips.

(Sorry it's late!) Shadow Eagle Shadow paused as he heard, "If you promise not to bite me, I can pull it out. I've had to pull thorns and prickles from my hair and skin too, it sucks to have such pesky things, doesn't it?" He flicked his ears at her studying her as she moved closer. She walked forward in his sight line and he narrowed his eyes at her as she reached the edge of the water.
The girl put one hand in the pond before saying, "So what do you say? Care to trust me enough?" He flicked his ears, scenting her. She didn't seem to be fearful but instead had some kind of sympathy. He huffed flattening his ears before letting out a wolf sigh. Might as well I guess. He thought before extending his head all the way out, ears straight up and his eyes looking deep into hers. Pulling back his head, he gave a slight nod before extending his paw towards her.

(It's okay ^^ And aww, they're slowly bonding) Brooklyn I Human I Female I M: Shadow Eagle Hazel eyes flickering warily to the wolf's uncertain expression, Brooke quieted the warning bells in her head, abashed to be frightened when she was trying to trust an animal. And not just any animal, she realized. This one seemed to understand her words quite well, almost as if he knew them. But that could also just be her imagination; she had been reading a folklore book just a week before and the tales of fantasy creatures had intrigued her deeply. Unfortunately, none of those myths were real..they couldn't be. "Good boy," Brooklyn said and then winced. It sounded so condescending, calling the king of canines by a mere pet name. "I meant good, strong pack member." She laughed, then her face grew serious as she looked at the thorn. "Oh owch. Okay. Stay very still, otherwise it will tear the wrong way. I won't count just in case you decide to tense up. And... got it!" Brooke neatly tore the pesky thorn out, wondering if any bleeding would come. Pressing the cuff of her sleeve to the area, she waited a moment before backing away. "Um..are you okay?"

(XD, yeah lol) Shadow Eagle Shadow twitched his nose at her as she said, "Good boy." Then she corrected herself, "I meant good, strong pack member." She laughed before looking at the thorn. He listened to her before feeling the small pain of it being torn out. His ears flicked before looking at his paw. A little blood came out but the girl pressed her sleeve to it. "Um...are you okay?" Shadow looked at his paw before dipping it in the cold water. He looked back at the girl before flicking his ears, nodding slightly. She's speaking to me like I'm a human. Could she know? He flattened his ears. No, just no. There's no way she knows. He thought before perking his ears up at her, his deep blue eyes piercing hers. He scented her again, not knowing what to make of her emotions, so he just cocked his head.

Atticus finally caught up to the girl and shadow. He stayed in the trees to watch things play out wondering if swift was in the trees nearby. He knew she would be in her wolf form. He thought about shifting but decided it would be easier to keep the secret and talk to her if he was human. He looked around a moment before fixing his eyes back on the pair by the water. He then stepped out of the trees. "Is he ok?" He asked knowing very well that he would be able to talk to shadow later. But something about this girl intrigued him. Atticus walked up to shadow and patted his side like someone would do to a dog they know.

(Imagining a wolf nodding..hm) Brooklyn I Human I Female I M: Shadow Eagle, Atticus, Swift I've never seen a wolf..or even any animal..nod like that. Weird. Brooke shook off the uneasy feeling and smiled warmly. She nearly hugged the big canine, then thought better of it and just offered him a scratch behind the ears, her fingers lightly sifting through the fur. And then a voice startled her. For a moment she thought it was the wolf, till she realized a young man had stepped out from behind the shadows of the trees. How long had they been- it was him! The guy she had seen before with the entrancing gaze. She finished her previous thought, editing it slightly. How long had he been watching her? Are you seriously fricken blushing right now? No, no, no. Any guy that hides around in trees watching people does not deserve the extra satisfaction of watching his stalkee blush. It's weird. So as the male drew closer, Brooklyn turned and faced the water, taking a step away from the wolf. "I believe so, he had a nasty thorn in his paw but I took it out and compressed the blood. He should be fine." Brooke then flinched as another wolf came and appeared to bark something to the no-longer impaled wolf. She retreated slowly, eyes locked on the newcomer, before perching on a rock that was in the pond, wary but not scared.

Atticus tilted his head at swift. He turned his body away from the girl so she couldn't see the expression he gave swift. He gave swift an acknowledgeing expression before backing away from shadow slightly. He then turned back to the girl. "You do know wolves can be very territorial right?" He asked her then shrugged it off before she could answer. "Sorry I should introduce myself. My names Atticus. I just moved her with some family and friends." He gave the sweetest smile he could. . Ocravius trudged back to class. He was bored and didn't want to be at school any more.
